Lessons of Failure

removed started this conversation

Lord, are you trying to tell me something?
For...

Failure does not mean I'm a failure;
It does mean I have not yet succeeded.

Failure does not mean I have accomplished nothing;
It does mean I have learned something.

Failure does not mean I have been a fool;
It does mean I had enough faith to experiment.

Failure does not mean I have disgraced;
It does mean I have dared to try.

Failure does not mean I don't have it;
It does mean I have something to do in a different way.

Failure does not mean I am inferior;
It does mean I am not perfect.

Failure does not mean I have wasted my life;
It does mean that I have an excuse to start over.

Failure does not mean that I should give up;
It does mean that I should try harder.

Failure does not mean that I will never make it;
It does mean that I need more practice.

Failure does not mean that you have abandoned me;
It does mean that you must have a better idea

 in response to char6...   Failure never has to be the end of anything. Think how many great inventors failed on their first try. Making mistakes does allow us the opportunity to learn and improve ourself for our tomorrows. We are blessed that the Lord does not give up on us when we fail at anything, and it is wise if we can learn not to give up on ourselves either. Being the best we can be starts with one step, has many trial & errors, and is a life long process.
Thanks for your inspiring words.
God Bless

hi chris,
i like your post on failure its something we need to view in a more positive light. Many that are very successful have attributed their success to first failing. Sometimes I fail at how I deal with my children and its definitely a lesson. My older ones ask why Im different on some area's with the younger ones and I tell them , "its because I did it wrong the first time and I learned what NOT to do now". This is most encouraging for parents, we often feel like we failed or messed up our kids if we did not react or act in a certain way but the truth is we have many many chances in life to correct wrongs, and to learn from our mistakes. Its a sign that we need more practice and its going to be a life long lesson.
I hope that you are doing ok, I know we havent talked in a while and I miss that. I still pray for you and Tori every day and hoping that all is well.
Be safe Be blessed
